Our blog

The aim of this blog is to provide you with an inside look at the climate change policy negotiations. It will also be a place where you can find out more about our campaign actions, how to take action and engage with the climate team.

For all the inside information on policy and what WWF is doing to tackle climate change please go to our web site www.panda.org/climate

The year 2009 is all about the credit and climate crunch.  In December the world must agree to a new global climate change treaty that will come into play as the Kyoto Protocol comes to an end in 2012.

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC) meets a number of times throughout the year until the big meeting (every December called COP-Conference of Parties) to decide on different policies and proposals that countries make to solve the climate crises.

The discussions at these meetings are crucial to ensure that our governments take real action on climate change and save us from drastic impacts such as strong cyclones, sea level rise, drought and more.
